Kathryn & Jon would like to welcome you to Squirrels Nook, our cosy chalet, nestling in what is widely regarded as the most beautiful part of the Isle of Wight.

Niton lies at the Island's southern tip and enjoys some of the UK's sunniest summers - and mildest winters - thanks to its sheltered southerly aspect. The village is a popular stop for walkers, with the famous 60mile (95km) round-Island Coastal Path passing right alongside the chalet.

Surrounded by pretty country lanes, Westcliff is also the ideal base for cyclists. Local beauty spots include the Undercliff (habitat for many rare species of flora and fauna), the subtropical delights of Ventnor's Botanic Gardens, and the old "Military Road" stretching north from Niton all the way up the West Coast to the Needles. For more traditional seaside pursuits, nearby Ventnor Bay offers a safe beach, fascinating rockpools and freshly-caught crab and lobster. Several beautiful local coves are also tucked away just a short distance from the chalet.

Swaying palms and bright mallow adorn the gorgeous well-tended slopes of the chalet gardens, with wonderful picture-postcard views across the treetops to the sea. Inside, we have recently refurbished throughout with red and wood autumnal tones in keeping with the theme of red squirrels which are regular visitors to the gardens. Westcliff has its own private car park.

You'll find the Isle of Wight's reputation for friendly folk and slower pace of life is well-deserved... so if it's a rest you're after, you've definitely found the right place! We live locally too so, whether you're looking for a short break or longer holiday, we'll always do our very best to make sure your stay will be a wonderful one.
