Appley Beach
A popular sandy beach with good facilities, easy access and free parking. Appley is one of the Islands seaside award beaches which is cleaned regularly and has excellent water quality. Although ideal for swimming at low tide it can be a little walk to the waters edge and visitors must be careful to keep an eye on the progress of incoming tides. Appley is, however, one of the safest beaches on the Island due to the careful patrolling of a lifeguard in the summer months, the first aid hut and the inshore rescue headquarters situated just off the beach.
Appley is great for families sporting a childrens play area, a nine hole pitch and putt course and has a dotto train which takes visitors along the promenade to Ryde. The beach also contains a cafe/beach shop, toliets, shower, and beach equipment hire. For those who enjoy a stroll there is a coastal walk taking visitors to Puckpool Park passing on route Appley Tower. Here visitors for a small fee can take in the beach views and visit the shop selling different gems and stones.
Dogs are only allowed in designated areas shown by a sign on the beach.
